The Defenders

There are 6 Marvel shows on Netflix. But I don't consider them 5 different shows. I consider them all 1 show but with every season following different main character. They all flow into each other, sharing many characters, for an epic culmination in The Defenders. They continued after that and I'm sure there would have been a second season titled The Defenders if Disney hadn't cancelled their contract with Netflix.

1. Daredevil Season 1 (April 10, 2015)

This series is dark and brooding. If you like watching blind people getting their asses kicked then you'll enjoy this show. It's intense and alludes to being more than it is. Or is it?

2. Jessica Jones Season 1 (Nov 20, 2015)

JJ has a lighter feel to in. It includes some humour that is not present in the DD series. But at the same time the power of the villain (played by David Tenant) is terrifying.

3. Daredevil Season 2 (Mar 18, 2016)

This season could also be thought of as The Punsher Season 1. Brutally violent. Not to take away from Daredevil. The whole season is amazing. But you should watch The Punisher without watching this.

4. Luke Cage Season 1 (Sep 30, 2016)

This show has a lot of soul. Not as violent but still a great watch.

5. Iron Fist Season 1 (Mar 17, 2017)

This show got a lot of hate but it's my favourite after DD. I really dig the Zen way that the main character handles himself. He's very grounded. I think that put a lot of people off.

6. The Defenders (Aug 18, 2017)

The is the culmination of the last 5 seasons. Epic team up. Epic ending.

7. The Punisher Season 1 (Nov 17, 2017)

Brutally violent. This guy is nuts but righteous at the same time. Crazy show.

8. Jessica Jones Season 2 (Mar 8, 2018)

I honestly don't remember what happens in this season and I've watched it twice, same as the rest. I remember liking it, though. She's a clever detective.

9. Luke Cage Season 2 (Jun 22, 2018)

Classic origin story. Luke looks out for the little people.

10. Iron Fist Season 2 (Sep 7, 2018)

This season sold the show short. They wrapped up the storyline but left it open for another season with what seemed like a sweet new story arc, only to be cancelled.

11. Daredevil Season 3 (Oct 19, 2018)

Ties up all the story arcs in a neat little package. The finale sent shivers down my spine.

12. The Punisher Season 2 (Jan 18, 2019)

Whenever he thinks he's finally killed everyone, there always turns out to be more who deserve it.

13. Jessica Jones Season 3 (Jun 14, 2019)

This was not a good note to go out on. It was decent but they were definitely phoning it in. That's what happens when you know you're cancelled, I guess. But it did have a good ending. At least she didn't choke to death while Bryan Cranston stood there watching.
